This campaign aim to improve the representation of Akwa Ibom State and Bayelsa State content in Wikipedia. Information about the two states appear to be poorly documented in English Wikipedia, hence the need for this campaign. Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa States are two states located within the Niger-Delta region of Nigeria. Akwa Ibom state is known for its diverse ethnic groups which includes Ibibio, Anang, Oron, Eket, Ibeno, and Mbo while Bayelsa State is one of Nigeria’s famous oil producing states with rich cultural heritage and coastal lines. The tribes that are found in Bayelsa State includes the ijaw, Isoko and Urhobo people.
