Campaign: Missed in History Wikipedia Edit-a-thon 2020

Missed in History Wikipedia Edit-a-thon

Join the University Library for this virtual event on September 8, 2020 10am - 4pm on zoom.

What is history good for... if it is not for everyone? When you look at Wikipedia, whose history is missing? Women, LGBTIQ+, people of colour? Important places and events from regional Australia, Newcastle and the Central Coast?

As part of this event, you will get the opportunity to build new skills and contribute knowledge to your community by enhancing Wikipedia content that connects to the University of Newcastle and its regions, incorporating people, places and events that have been ‘Missed in History’.

It’s easy to learn and anyone can do it, even while sitting at home. Join the University of Newcastle Library for our virtual event or share your edits with the hashtag, #UONMissedInHistory.
