Wikimedia Nigeria Foundation in collaboration with ALOY Awards and Exquisite Magazine plan to organise Art+Feminsim 2020 to commemorate the International World Women's Day in Nigeria. Statistic from Wikidata shows that out of 100millions Nigerian women less than 1500 have Wikipedia page see result here. We plan to celebrate the two mentioned events with a series of training and edithathons that will focus on improving and adding new biographies about Nigerian women to Wikipedia. One of our partners for the project, Exquisite Magazine, is the organiser of ALOY Awards, an annual event organised to promote the remarkable feat of Nigeria women from all walks of life.
