Spelman English Edits Wikipedia

As part of the Spelman English Department's annual Lit Week, we are partnering with Sherry Antoine, Director of AfroCROWD and Pete Forsyth, Founder of Wiki Strategies, to host an editathon as our Saturday (April 2) Community Action Event. The event takes place from 1-7 p.m./EST.

Our goals are threefold:

  1. to increase the representation of Black Women editors across ages, geographies, and education levels

  2. to develop pages about Black Women's intellectual and cultural contributions to the Arts, Media, and Activism

  3. to network knowledge communities between HBCUs and global diasporic organizations.

*Both new and experienced editors are most welcome!

Access the Zoom Event Link [https://bit.ly/SpelmanEnglishEditsReg] to officially register for the event to receive login information.

Check out our Meet-Up page [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Meetup/SpelmanLitWeek] for more detailed information about the event.
